The Orang Pendek Project was an international collaborative effort between researchers on three continents to gather, document, and analyze data supporting the existence of an unclassified bipedal primate native to the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The project ran from 2012 through 2016. It managed to gather dozens of footprint casts and other data reportedly gathered from orang pendek sighting locations.
While it is likely that some of the footprint casts were hoaxed (it’s a long story, one perhaps best suited for a publication some day), some of the other casts hold up very well to scrutiny and are worthy of analysis.
